Guest Designer: Patricia Roebuck | TN | Video

Hello Everyone!  So thankful to be here with you all and especially my talented friend, Evelin!  I've met Evelin in California at the CHA shows and have been on teams with her before.  I always knew she would succeed with her amazing talent!  My main love is memory keeping, but I do love to make cards and do mixed media.  I dabble in a little of everything.  But before I actually make anything, I really enjoy tinkering and playing with product and then see where the creativity goes.  So for today's post, I will share some of that tinkering with a Traveler's Notebook I created inspired by the products.

The Coffee Art stamp set really had me inspired to create this Traveler's Notebook to document small happy moments.  I started by measuring, trimming and then stamping some of the images using black ink onto grey cardstock.  For the inside pages I used a Strathmore Sketch Paper Pad.  The reason for this paper, is I wanted the pages to be thin.  I can then either create on top of the pages, or my favorite is to work off the page, and then adhere my creation on top.  Will share more of that in a bit.  I also have a video showing how the inside pages came together, you can find at the end of this post.

For my first inside page, I wanted something there but very simple.  So I used a stencil and inks to create a blended ombre look, then stamped some of the leaf images from All Hallow's Cuteness and Coffee Art in shades of green ink.  I finished it with a chipboard piece in the center.

Now for my first full page spread in my album, I was inspired by the Coffee Art stamp set again to use with this photo, which happens to have a coffee cup ;)

Because my inside pages are thin, I could see the ink from the first inside page showing through.  To Fix this, I either adhere two pages together, but in this case, I wanted to work off-the page first and then adhere to the TN page.  I first started by stamping the leaves from the All Hallow's Cuteness stamp set, then used a ruler to draw lines.  I used this to type my journaling.

I stamped and colored a good bit before creating this project.  The little toadstools I stamped and watercolored from the All Hallow's Cuteness were the perfect touch to this woodsy, whimsical memory.  To add a little more texture, I used a light green ink to stamp the circle heart image from the Coffee Art stamp set.  I finished that page with washi tape, die cuts and puffy stickers.

For the right side, I wanted to show more of the cup images, so I created a repetitive pattern on a separate piece of the same paper.  Then stamped in the 'Hallo There!' sentiment from the same stamp set.  I am choosing the green and the orange inks to complement my photo, the colored images and die cuts I used on the left.

I finished this side with another die cut which covered up an imperfect stamped image I did (oops), and then finished with enamel dots.  The die cut also helps to balance with the left side.  Then I adhered both of these pages onto the inside pages of my album.

The sentiment 'coffee + you = happiness' inspired me to document me and my daughter at Starbucks with her new phone, taking and sharing her first selfie photo for my next spread in my TN album.  I also kind of love the bear and the snowman marshmallow images from the Coffee Art stamp set.  The bear went perfectly with my daughter's fuzzy headband too ;)

I worked directly on the pages of the album to ink a starburst that repeats the image in the top left from the photo.  I wanted the sentiment to be the focal in between the stamped images.

I typed and then detail cut and stitched labels together to add my journaling.

For my last page to share today in this Traveler's Notebook, I created a Halloween page.  I had lots of the Halloween images stamped and colored as well.  I used a cut file from Citrus Twist Kits that went perfectly with my photo but also great little spots for those adorable, little images from the It's Boo-Tastic! and All Hallow's Cuteness stamp sets.

All of the images here were colored with watercolors, except the three jack-o-lanterns.  I love how well the mixed together to create a fun cluster with the stamped 'Happy Halloween' right in between them.

I used foam alpha stickers and enamel dots to finish this spread.

I did not have a plan for each one of these pages.  But I love how the inspiration comes as you stamp and color.  Hope this inspires you to try your stamped images in your memory keeping or gives you some ideas for your next card!  I will be back in November to share cards as a guest again here with Evelin T Designs!

I do have a video showing how these pages came together.  You can watch it in HD on my YouTube Channel here or below.  Thank you so much for letting me share and guest!

Critter Window Card

Hello! Heather Hoffman here this morning to share a card using the adorable new Good Tidings to You stamp set - one from the new release that I hadn't had a chance to play with yet...and it is SOOO CA-UTE!!!

I thought it would be fun to create some windows and have some of the cute images peeking through from the windows. I die cut 3 different size windows with a basic circle die from a panel of white cardstock, then lined up and stamped 3 of the cute images from the set behind the windows on a white cardbase.

I then had fun coloring in all those sweet critters, then added some sparkly Nuvo glitter drops on all the red parts of the image - I love the shine and sparkle that adds!

Once that dried, I stamped my sentiment on the front window panel, then adhered that with foam adhesive on the card - this gives it a bit of dimension which is fun with the windows.

Finally, for just a bit more sparkle, I added some coordinating green jewels sprinkled around on the card!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!!!

All is Calm...and Rainbow!

Hello! Heather Hoffman here this morning playing with some of the adorable holiday release - SOOO much cuteness to have create with! I had a blast using the darling All is Calm stamp set to create this fun and colorful card - I love mixing up and using fun and different color combinations for holiday cards, and I love how unexpected this color combo is!

I started off by heat embossing the image in white on white cardstock, then blended a rainbow of distress inks over the top to create an emboss resist, showing off the image underneath!

I heat embossed a sentiment from the set in white on black cardstock banner, then popped that up on foam adhesive on one side.

Finished off by matting the front panel with black cardstock, then mounted on a soft blue cardbase.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!!!

Spooky and Sweet...

Happy Hello everyone... Annette Allen here with you today to share two fun card I created using the newly released Evelin T. Designs: Good Tidings To You, All Is Calm and All Hallows Cuteness.

Are you saying yes right now? The new release is full of cuteness.
You can see all the new release HERE.

The first card I created I used Evelin T. Designs: Good Tidings To You, All Is Calm

I colored these sweet images using Copic Sketch markers. At first I was going for an inside themed card and then I remembered this cute snowman and well that changed it all for me. I went with an outside scene and this cute snowman peeking up behind just makes me smile.

I used a die cut for the background. I wanted a snowfall look and polka dots totally worked for me. I used foam adhesives to give my colored images some dimension. I also added a little white gel pen polka dots and strips here and there.

Next up I created this card using Evelin T. Designs: All Hallows Cuteness. I mean come on I am so in love with this set. Totally fun to color.

I used an embossing die for the background and added some Ranger Oxide ink for a bold fun background. I splashed some Copic opaque, water and black soot oxide ink on the background. The images are all colored with Copic Sketch markers and I adhered them to the card using foam adhesive.

That is all for today.

I hope you enjoyed both cards today. I love this time of year when I get to make Christmas and Halloween cards. Make sure to shop the new release HERE.

Have a great day!

All Hallow's Cuteness

Happy Monday! I'm so excited to be posting on the Evelin T Designs blog with a card featuring the new stamp set All Hallow's Cuteness. These Halloween illustrations are as cute as can be! I used the bird, bear, bunny and cat who are all ready for trick or treating in their costumes. It's so easy to create scenes with these cuties.

I stamped all of the images and coloured them using Copic markers. Then I stamped the images again on masking paper and covered the coloured images so I could sponge the background with distress inks.

After all of the colouring and ink blending was done, I used shimmer mist to splatter the panel. It adds a feeling of 'magic' to the scene, as if the bear fairy and cat witch are casting a spell on the bunny. The shimmer is hard to capture on camera but is so pretty in person.

SEPTEMBER 2019 RELEASE BLOG HOP

Hallo Everyone! Happy Monday to you and welcome to our September Release Blog Hop! I am so excited to share our NEW RELEASE with you and all the inspirations created by our Designers.

We have six new stamp sets in this Release and I can't wait for you to HOP along to see what the Designers have created but first, here's a look at the new release and what I have created with them

First up, we have All Hallow's Cuteness

It features, *you guessed it!* cute little critters in Halloween costumes and it was easy to create this interactive card with the witchy kitty and its birdie friend.

Sample card with All Hallow's Cuteness - park your broom and sit for a spell
I watercolored the background to create a night sky and added splashes of white gouache for stars. Then, I used colored pencils to add depth and highlights to the images I painted as well and fussy-cut them all to assemble this card.

Next up, we have It's Boo-tastic!

It's Boo-tastic! coordinates superbly with All Hallows Cuteness and between the two sets, you will be able to create a multitude of scenes!

Sample card for It's Boo-tastic - Boo!
For this card, I just eyeballed and freehand cut the hills that the pumpkins and kitty Dracula is standing on. Since one of my favorite medium is watercoloring, you can see that I once again painted and then used colored pencils to add dimension. I like how colored pencils add 'live' to the painted images. I fussy cut the pumpkins, little ghostie and bats and adhered them with dotliners and foam tape.

Then we are moving on to our Christmas stamps. All is Calm features a large stamp with matching sentiments.

Sample card - All Is Calm - Merry Christmas from Our Home to Yours
I had a fun time coloring this image with the no-line coloring technique. I stamped the image with a light colored ink (I used Papertrey Ink's Harvest Gold this time) and watercolored the image before adding colored pencils to create this effect. I also used a brown pen to dot the eyes and drew the little mouth on the bear hiding behind the tree and mountain of presents!

Fun in the Snow features penguins and bears having fun skiing.

Sample card - Fun in the snow - wishing you much joy this holiday season
I decided to create an interactive card with the images from this set as well. Because I have not invested in interactive dies yet (my bad!), I had to handcut all the elements to put this card together. It was not the easiest thing to do, but it's do-able and thankfully, I was only making one card! I love how the penguin and the bear moves in opposite direction... they are so fun to slide around

Warm Winter Wishes is another fun set to illustrate and I can imagine a lot of fun card with this set too but let me just share one and let my Designers wow you with theirs when you HOP along.

Sample card - Warm winter wishes
For this CAS card, I watercolored the background and used colored pencils to draw the trees. Then I just painted and highlighted the images using colored pencils. No fussy-cutting with this card. Just a lot of fun painting and that's it!

And our last stamp set for this release is Good Tidings to You.

Sample card - Good tidings to you - seasons greetings
Another super fun card to make! I used distress inks to create a soft background and stamped the snowflakes onto it with a silver ink pad. Then I watercolored the stamped images and added colored pencils detailing again (do you see a pattern here? haha). Finally I added some shadows for the kitty and its mice friends with some grey colored pencil.
